2026: Special Academic Session on Chinese Modernization

In April 2026, Friends of Silk Road Club Nepal in collaboration with the Fudan University Alumni Association and with the support of the Nepal China Friendship Forum (NCFF) organized a special academic session titled “Understanding Chinese Modernization: Political System, Party Governance and Development Path” in Kathmandu. The session was delivered by Professor Zhang Jiadong, Director of the Center for South Asian Studies at Fudan University, China. He shared his views on China’s modernization process, political system, party governance and development path.

The lecture gave participants a better understanding of the policies and institutions that have contributed to China’s development. It also provided an opportunity for students, scholars and professionals to discuss and exchange ideas on China’s experience and its relevance in today’s world. NCFF was pleased to support this program as part of its ongoing efforts to promote knowledge sharing, strengthen Nepal–China academic cooperation and encourage greater understanding between the people of the two countries.
