Handover Program Of PANDA BOOK CORNER

Background Note

Panda Book Corner is a library project initiated by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in coordination with the Nepal China Friendship Forum (NCFF) with the aim to promote the Chinese language, history, and culture in Nepal. The program focuses on providing equal opportunities to all students.

The specific objectives of the project are:

  • To promote the Chinese language, history, and culture.
  • To provide an abundance of Chinese learning materials.
  • To share knowledge -specific experiences from China.
  • To develop the study habit beyond the course book.

The book corner was launched on December 6, 2018. Different books along with bookshelves were distributed in five different schools each year in 2018 and 2019 namely:

This year, the Panda Book Corner will be introduced in five schools. Among the five schools, two of them are Government schools, two private schools, and one trust-based school. The names of the schools are:

Participants

Participants of the handover program will include Honourable Education, Science and Technology Minister of Nepal, Honourable Chinese Ambassador, and Principal/Directors and Teachers of the respective schools.

Date and venue

The program took place on 24th November 2021 at LRI School at 4:00 pm, Kalanki, Kathmandu.
