The Nepal-China Friendship Forum (NCFF) was honored to coordinate the Nepal delegation for the Dream Flight Project in collaboration with InVision Charity providing children from underprivileged backgrounds in Nepal with a unique opportunity for educational and cultural exchange in Shanghai.
On July 20, 2026, after more than twelve hours of travel, the children safely arrived in Shanghai. For all of the children, it was their first time traveling by airplane and their first journey outside Nepal. Filled with curiosity and excitement, they eagerly admired the clouds from the aircraft windows and experienced an international airport with wonder and enthusiasm.
Upon arrival, the delegation was warmly welcomed by volunteers from Taiwan and Hong Kong, who had been eagerly awaiting the children's arrival. Their first meeting was filled with smiles, warm greetings, and heartfelt introductions, marking the beginning of a meaningful journey together.
In the afternoon, the children visited the historic Yuyuan Garden where they explored a city vastly different from their own communities. They enthusiastically admired the traditional architecture, took photographs and shared their excitement as they experienced the rich history and vibrant culture of Shanghai for the first time.
The day concluded with the group's first dinner together in Shanghai, celebrating the beginning of an unforgettable educational and cultural exchange. Through the Dream Flight program, these children were given the opportunity to broaden their horizons, build lasting friendships and experience a world beyond their everyday lives, an inspiring reflection of the program's vision: “Little Hands, Big World.”
