2017: Contours of the Belt and Road Initiative for South Asia

In November 2017, the Nepal-China Friendship Forum (NCFF) organized a half-day seminar on the Belt and Road Initiative titled “Contours of the Belt and Road Initiative for South Asia.” The program brought together policymakers, diplomats, academics, media and private-sector representatives from South Asian countries to discuss regional cooperation, connectivity and development opportunities. The seminar was held in the presence of H.E. Ms. Yu Hong, Ambassador of China to Nepal, Mr. Mahendra Bahadur Pandey, former Foreign Minister of Nepal and senior government officials. The event provided a platform for sharing country experiences and exploring ways to strengthen regional collaboration under the Belt and Road framework.
