Establishment of The Council of Sinologists- Nepal

This event marked the official inauguration of a dedicated body for advancing Sinology studies in Nepal. The initiative builds upon the World Sinology Council established by Beijing Language and Culture University in July 2022, which currently includes 115 outstanding Sinologists and translators from 61 countries.
The initiative enlisted 27 Sinologists and scholars, including researchers from Kathmandu University, Tribhuvan University, and independent academics.
Outcomes
The establishment ceremony marks the official inception of the Council of Sinologists-Nepal, signifying the beginning of a dedicated body for fostering Sinology and Chinese studies within Nepal.
